DENT’s New E-Kit Interval Recording Systems Exceed National Electric Code Requirements for Facilities Load Demand Studies
(DENT Instruments, Bend, OR) – DENT Instruments, a global leader in the design and manufacture of power and energy measurement instruments, announces that its E-Kit Interval Recording Systems, which feature the ElitePro Recording Pow er Meter, exceed all requirements for determining the existing electrical load level (kVA demand) as defined by Article 220 of the National Electric Code. The E-Kit includes everything necessary to easily and economically determine the power consumption of the load averaged over 15-minute intervals as defined by the NEC (specifically in Article 220-35 Optional Calculations for Determining Existing Load).
Chris Dent, President of DENT Instruments said, “Typically, the data gathered by our E-Kit can determine the unused capacity of a current electrical service, and with data gathered over a 30-day period, can help estimate whether the existing electrical service or feeders need to be modified, replaced, or used as is.”
All DENT E-Kits are supplied as complete systems including the ElitePro Recording Power Meter, properly sized Current Transformers, and ELOG software. The ElitePro Recording Power Meters use DENT’s proprietary ELOG software to present and analyze the collected data. ELOG has a variety of pre-programmed analyses and graphs, and data files can be exported to popular spreadsheets and databases such as Excel and Access.
DENT Instruments is a leading supplier of an array of precision measurement instrumentation and analytical software in the field of energy management.
