Depending on the model being used, you are able to strip wire with sizes ranging from 16 awg to 600 mcm, without crushing or shredding the copper or aluminum .The precise design of our double-edged D-2 tool steel blade, allows for fast, accurate and smooth removal of plastic coating. The COMC model is designed to strip plastic coated wire, with sizes ranging from 14 awg. (approx 1/8”) to 600 mcm/kcmil(approx.1 1/8”). The RES model is designed to strip plastic coated wire, with sizes ranging from 16 awg (less than an 1/8”) to 250 mcm (approx.3/4”) We also have the DRM model which would be powered by you’re ½ “ chuck variable speed drill, an angle drill could also be used.
