The Youngstown Waterproof Winter XT glove is 100 percent waterproof and windproof. It was built to withstand the most grueling of extreme cold-weather tasks and is constructed using Youngstown's hallmark triple layer technology. Warmth begins with an ultra-soft, double-sided micro-fleece liner. A waterproof and windproof breathable membrane follows to wick away moisture and ensure dry hands. Perhaps most notably, Youngstown adds an impressive 200 gram layer of 3M Thinsulate™ for added insulation. Finally, a form fit durable outer shell protects hands and extends the life of the glove all while allowing flexibility.
With the aim of safeguarding the top of hand, the glove features extra knuckle protection. A water-resistant stretch nylon cover wards off nicks, scrapes and cuts. The Waterproof Winter XT glove also has an extended gauntlet cuff that fits over a jacket sleeve, efficiently locking out snow, wind and cold.
Special attention was paid to the design of the palm side of the glove in order to offer the most dexterious and tightest grasp possible. The base layer of the glove is fashioned from synthetic leather followed by heavy duty non slip reinforcements for added durability and grip. All this adds up to a glove that is extra tough but still flexible and comfortable enough for recreational activites such as hunting, cross country skiing and hiking. A terry cloth thumb can be used to easily wipe sweat and debris. The glove itself is double-stitched with bonded Nylon thread helping to ensure the glove will withstand many a long and arduous winter task.
